1997 North America - After the trans-Atlantic trip, the Matthew toured Newfoundland and down the coast to Boston before wintering in Toronto

After completing her trans-Atlantic trip, the Matthew then toured around Newfoundland, down the coast of Nova Scotia and the eastern Seaboard of the USA as far as Boston before turning around and passing down the St. Lawrence to winter in Toronto.

Everywhere she went there were vast crowds of people to welcome her and the core crew worked hard to ensure the hundreds of volunteers that sailed on her had a memorable time.
